Cleansing Oil

Apply with dry hands on your dry face. Massage into face and neck. Wet fingertips with warm water and continue to massage the oil into your face and eyelashes. Rinse clean or wipe away with a warm wet cloth and follow with a second cleanse if wearing make-up or sunscreen using the same product or a different cleanser (like Likami's Cleansing Milk or a cleanser from Gressa or TerraLova).

Active botanicals include sunflower oil, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E and jojoba oil. Sunflower seed oil is particularly beneficial for dry, dehydrated, or environmentally compromised skin because its linoleic acid content helps skin synthesize its own lipids (fats), including ceramides, visibly repairing its barrier and leading to smoother, healthier- looking skin. Sunflower seed oil also has a natural calming effect on skin, so can be helpful for reducing signs of skin stress or irritation. In fact, research on people with atopic dermatitis has shown that topical sunflower oil is a viable ingredient to alternate with topical steroids normally prescribed to control symptoms of this skin disorder. Grape seed oil is used to combat the signs of skin aging by sequestering action of free radicals and the antioxidant action that provides an abundance of polyphenols. The large amount of essential fatty acids gives the skin flexibility and a more youthful appearance . Sweet almond oil has emollient, softening and moisturizing properties. Sweet almonds are known to have a demulcent effect. Topical application acts favoring tonicity and elasticity of the skin. Vitamin E has many properties, but it stand out as being known as the vitamin of youth and beauty. It is an antioxidant that protect cells from all external aggression such as pollution, pesticides and stress, the main cause of premature aging. Vitamin E also contributes significantly to the production of energy. Apart from its excellent emollient action that provides deep hydration and softness, jojoba oil has a special feature that makes it essential for deep hydration of the corneum stratum because it creates a protective lipid layer non-fat, which provides a simular effectiveness to the mineral oil.
